If you want an obedient well socialized family pet look no further than taking your dog to Dave. Having a dog is a very important commitment and a major responsibility. Do not waste valuable time in a pet food store taking instruction from someone who has attended an 8 week program and does this part-time. This is how Dave McMahon supports his family and has been for years. He has dedicated his life to training thousands of owners and their dogs so they may become K9 good citizens and truly a member of the family. I speak from experience after spending over 2 years with Dave training my own dog and now returning with our new pup.

"In a perfect world, every dog would have a home and every home would have a dog."

Don't make the mistake of not training your dog.

Thanks Dave!

I have a 2 year old Bull Mastiff, and was wondering if it was too late to start training him and wondering if he would be in the Novice classes? He is very hyper and with a 2 year old boy at home its hard to keep them together and would like him to be a part of the family and not have to lock him in the kitchen all the time. Any suggestions, PLEASE HELP!

I recently adopted a 9 month old Lab Shepherd puppy from the Lincoln County Humane Society. I immediately knew I had to register her for some type of obedience training, so I began my research of trainers in the area. Dave McMahon's resume far surpassed any of the other contenders. Each and every week of the novice course I see noticeable, positive improvements in Stella's behavior and through the weekly homework assignments have gained a stronger bond with my puppy. The work taught in Dave's course is thorough and consistent, and aside from our weekly group classes, Dave is always available to answer the never-ending questions. I have come to realize that Dave is here to train and challenge his clients, and there is nothing more rewarding when you see the positive change in your dogs behavior. Stella and I are enthusiastic about our future training with Dave, and feel like we have become part of a family.

What a great time my little man and I have at dog school. I'm not sure which one of us enjoys it more. Dave, and his experienced trainers make it all so much fun. When I first started going I unfortunately became ill, and taking Mckenzie once a week for novice training was about all I could manage to do, but I have to say that everything Dave showed us to do to help our furry little kids really does work. I was very surprised that after the Novice training Mckenzie got a perfect score. So if you think that your pet is not listening and watching, trust me they are. We are now in the intermidiate training, and I wouldn't stop going for the world. Not only is Mckenzie a very bright kid (with attitude) both he and I have so much fun, and yes much more to learn. We have both tried to be good students, but sometimes the classes are so interesting with Dave's great sense of humor, that we forget we are actually at "school". I have also met some great people who love their "kids" as much as I love Mckenzie, and I look forward to continuing all this year. Thanks especially to Cathy, Sho, and of course you Dave and your great wife Debbie. Whenever I am out with Mckenzie and people notice what a well behaved and loving dog he is I always tell "Go to the Dave McMahon's Dog Training Academy" and you will see for yourself what a wonderful school it is. Again, thanks Dave. Claire

I have been training under Dave McMahon for 3 mths. In that time we have seen many dogs come thru the doors with owners in tow. Under Dave's first command method by the 2nd week the dogs will all be sitting @ the door before exiting, and you can just see confidence developing in the new "handlers".
Dave has a way of building confidence thru passion for what he does (never mind an amazing dog behavourist) and some very entertaining classes. People dream of having as much fun @ thier "jobs" as Dave does.
I highly reccomend you drop by the Academy or catch the videos on u-tube, these are family dogs showing a piece of what Dave's training is about.
Dave hasn't been in business for 20 some yrs because he's entertaining..... his method WORKS!
